The Kami Lyle Sit-A-While

“St. Paul, Minnesota has Prairie Home Companion, but we’ve got Minnesota’s own Kami Lyle, whose “Sit-A-While” shows combine elements of PHC, Austin City Limits and Later With Jools Holland,” writes Joe Burns in The Cape Codder.
The “Kami Lyle Sit-A-While” is a lively evening of songs, stories, skits, and jingles, written and hosted by Cape Cod darling Kami Lyle, and co-produced with Ruth Condon. Kami welcomes two of her musical pals to each show (past guests have included Steve Earle, John Sebastian, Gretchen Peters, Paula Cole, Jon Pousette-Dart) while featuring a surprise visit from a “neighbor” friend as well, shining a spotlight on the local songwriters, poets, and dancers who, like Kami, call Cape Cod their home.
A cozy Cape Cod living room is the setting, and each show ends with an audience sing-along of “Old Cape Cod.” If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air…this show is always a treat!
